News

Habitat for Humanity of San Joaquin had purchased 19 lots in Stockton. The project, Dream Creek, is currently underway.

Applications are also being accepted for our Dream Creek homes. Applications are available on this website to print and return and they are available at our Office/ReStore location at 4933 West Lane, Stockton, CA 95210.  The plans are in the final development stages for the subdivision. The plans will be three and four bedroom homes with two baths.

We are exploring all the methods to be "green" and energy efficient in our development and construction of this project. If there are any "experts" out there in this area and you would like to participate in the final design of a quality project, please call John Shores at (209) 465-5054.

Habitat and Food Bank Collaborate

The Habitat for Humanity of San Joaquin County Inc. has been asked to join forces with the Emergency Food Bank and facilitate the completion of the interior of the building that will include new offices and a work center. This building, referred to as the Nutrition Education Center, will be used to expand the nutrition classes targeted to families with children, teaching the wisdom of good nutrition and family meals.

As the mission of the Habitat is to serve families by eliminating substandard housing, this effort is an extension of the serving of the families within our community. We will coordinate the interior completion and are in need of qualified tradesmen to assist and or supervise the work on the interior. If you are interested in helping with this unique collaboration of agencies within our community, please contact our office at (209) 465-5054. For additional details, please see the page under Construction Projects.
