Volunteers are crucial to the success of our mission, working together end substandard housing one family at a time. A tremendous amount of work takes place behind the scenes before a project is in the construction phase. Habitat depends on the energy and time of volunteers for office support, committee work and home construction. We welcome volunteers of all skill levels and interests into our Habitat family. The best value and the most powerful contribution comes from the volunteer (skilled in construction or not) who wants to make a difference in the community. Habitat for Humanity is an open community, always looking for those interested in joining!

Most of our volunteer positions do not require previous experience and fall under these categories:

ReStore Volunteers

The proceeds from the sales at the ReStore will go towards the home building effort, buying materials to complete the electrical, plumbing or roofing. In addition to helping construct homes for families in need within our community, volunteers at the ReStore provide a great community service in keeping a lot of material from going into the landfills. Skilled and unskilled volunteers are welcome at the ReStore. The duties can include organizing materials, helping customers with their purchases, unloading donations that are received as well as spreading the word about our store.  Working in the ReStore is a great way for minors to be involved.
